Datacraft has clinched the first Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) deal in Vietnam for TaxOnline, a software vendor that offers customizable tax and accounting software solutions for individuals and businesses. The solution will consolidate data center resources into a simplified server setup, to enable dynamic resource provisioning that will boost return on investment.

TaxOnline develops payroll, HR, administration and accounting solutions that can be easily accessed anytime and anywhere through an internet connection. To cope with the expansion of its online tax management product range, it needed to build a data center that maximizes resources, increases business agility and is scalable for future growth.

“Maintaining large data center resources can be costly and cumbersome,” said Nguyen Phan Viet Thuy, CEO for TS24 (TFTS). “We wanted a solution that would maximize the value of virtual environments by eliminating server sprawl and consolidating storage resources. Datacraft was able to craft a tailor-made solution that catered specifically to our requirements.”

As the only partner certified in Vietnam to implement Cisco UCS, Datacraft has the advantage to propose a Cisco UCS Solution that is also coupled with NetApp storage. Through end-to-end provisioning and migration support, the next-generation UCS data center platform will accelerate service delivery simply, reliably and securely, while the NetApp solution enables instant data backup and recovery, automated data management tasks and deduplication to maximize storage utilization.

“Cisco UCS is changing the economics of the data center,” said Lim Puay Koon, General Manager for Datacraft Vietnam. “The number of devices can be radically reduced requiring less setup, management power, cooling and cabling. Through this streamlining of resources, the total cost of ownership is reduced whilst business agility is increased.”
